For seveal years I worked for the the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto, Ontario planning Regattas and Special Events. After taking time away to have children, I decided I wanted to go back to work doing something that I really loved. I was so excited when the local quilt shop owner asked me to come work with her. I started working part time and not long afterward I was teaching and working full time, loving every minute of it. Before the first year was out I designed my first pattern. It was a wonderful success and inspired me to continue to design. Now with more than 40 patterns and growing, fresh ideas keep coming. My only wish (like all quilters) is that there were more hours in my day.
I run The Pattern Basket out of our home which my husband and I built two years ago on what once was a Christmas Tree Farm in a small town called Dunrobin, Ontario, just outside of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada's capital.
We have two children. Our daughter is 12 and spends most if not all of her spare time riding and showing her horse Holly and our son is 14 and enjoys archery, reading and spending lots of his spare time talking and being with friends.
